kpop horror Premise: Rachel McAdams is kind of that dork at the office that people don’t really like, but also don’t dislike too much. She’s also been passed for a (well deserved) promotion after the old CEO’s nepo baby inherits the company, and she keeps being treated like crap. Then she’s on a flight to Bangkok along with the nepo baby and his henchmen, but the plane crashes and boom now we’re stranded in a desert island. Oh, I forgot one tiny detail: our friend Rachel is a huge Survivor fan and this is kind of the crisotunity of the century!

Under 90 minutes? Almost two hours.
Do they say the title? they kinda tease it but then they never do, jerks!

First thing I thought of:

Okay, more: It’s good to know that Sam Raimi can still deliver even after the inexplicable Oz, The Great and Powerful featuring famous sex pest James Franco. This is a hilariously dark comedy, it’s got some cute twists here and there and some actually laugh-out-loud-at-the-gross-crap-on-screen moments. A really, really funny movie that makes me want to rewatch the glorious Drag Me To Hell.

A simple way to improve it: there’s some hilariously bad CGI in this movie and it is a pity because I know they could have just gone for hilariously cheesy practical effects and it would have looked way better. That’s my only complaint.

Trivia about the IMDb trivia:

Linda is shown to be a fan of the reality show Survivor. The movie is set in the Gulf of Thailand, where season five was filmed. The film was actually shot in Australia, where season two was filmed. Australia is when a contestant hunted and killed a wild boar as Linda does. Though Linda must not have paid attention to season eight All-Stars as she makes the same mistake as one tribe by building the shelter on the sand where it is destroyed by a storm.

Our friend here wanted to let everyone know that they’re an even bigger dork than Rachel McAdams in the movie, except they won’t ever get to live their prepper powerfantasy. It’s a bit bittersweet, to be honest.
