Mars Express (2023)

Premise: Two students are missing! It’s a job for detective extraordinaire Aline Ruby and her partner, half-robot-half-hologram-all-robocop Carlos “Carl·litos” Rivera! Will they uncover a way-too-big conspiracy in this cyberpunk sci-fi story? Oh you bet!

Under 90 minutes? Yes!
Do they say the title? No. It’s on screen diegetically twice, but, yah.

First thing I thought of:

Okay, more: Yeah, this was a very fun thriller. It’s been a while since I last watched anything even remotely cyberpunk so it was fun to get back to one of those movies where they kinda need to both say “this is normal for us” but at the same time “here, this is how things work here, in this movie’s reality”. A fun enough mystery, my friend guessed the outcome (i didn’t, i’m dumb) and we had a lot of fun. Good!

A simple way to improve it: More Carlos. He was clearly the MVP.
