VHS 2 (2013)

Premise: You know the drill: an anthology of four found footage shorts with the lamest excuse for a frame narrative.

Under 90 minutes? YES!
Do they say the title? Nope, they don’t.

First thing I thought of:

Okay, more: So, there are two shorts here that are really fun (“Safe Haven”, which shows us an Indonesian cult and its little practises, and “A Ride in the Park”, about the dangers of using a gopro while there are zombies around), one that was entertaining but, to me, pretty flawed (“Slumber Party Alien Abduction”, about a dog surrounded by the most obnoxious kids in the universe, and also aliens) and a really crappy one (“Phase I Clinical Trials”, about getting a CYBERNETIC EYE that gives us the POV of one of the dumbest rich guys in the universe). The frame narrative was laughably bad, so once again we are in that particular scenario:

A simple way to improve it: I was going to mention a detail that would immediately improve the movie but it’s kind of spoilerific and we do not do that here. So pretend I did and nod along.

Trivia about the IMDb trivia:

Top billing for the segment Slumber Party Alien Abduction is given to the dog.

Best actor in the whole movie, anyway.
